- The system classifies the document and applies the appropriate extraction method
- For scanned/handwritten docs, OCR with handwriting recognition is used
- Medical diagnoses are matched to ICD-10-CM codes using smart matching
- A new PDF is generated with ICD-10 codes overlaid in red, preserving the original layout
- All processing happens locally - no patient data leaves the server
